On Tuesday, July 22, Comcast of Metro Richmond presented a grant in the amount of $11,100 to Greater Richmond ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens) in recognition of its partnership on Comcast Cares Day, which took place in May.
On the first Saturday in May, Comcast employees across the country donated their time, talents and energies to give back to the communities they serve. Comcast of Metro Richmond partnered with Greater Richmond ARC on this day to help refurbish and revitalize the organization’s Westwood Avenue headquarters and surrounding areas.
The grant, provided through the Comcast Foundation in recognition of Comcast’s commitment to the communities where its customers and employees live and work, not only acknowledges the impactful programs and services that ARC provides its clients and their families each day, but also recognizes the efforts of over 370 Comcast employees, their family members and friends who volunteered at ARC on Comcast Cares Day.
Since its founding in 1999, The Comcast Foundation has distributed more than $50 million in support of programs implemented locally in Comcast communities.
