Northbound drivers along the Powhite Parkway should expect two 5- to 10-minute complete road shutdowns beginning Wednesday night, July 23, into early Thursday morning, sometime between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. as construction crews attach and detach signage in the northbound express lanes construction area. The exact closure times have not been determined given the complexity of the particular project. However, Powhite Parkway motorists should be aware of the traffic situation in the event that their time travel is sensitive during this period.
