Major delays on I-95 North due to bridge damage.
The left and center lanes remain closed on I-95 north at Hermitage/Lakeside (Exit 80) until approximately 3 p.m. due to an earlier accident involving damage to the Hermitage Road bridge. VDOT bridge inspectors have determined that temporary repairs are needed to the beams. Further repairs will be made at a later date. The repairs and lane closures are not expected to continue through rush hour. Expect major delays.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and through travelers should use I-295 north as an alternate.
