The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) encourages motorists to use caution when traveling around the Richmond area due to areas of standing water. VDOT crews are monitoring the road conditions and will close roads as needed for motorist’s safety.

The following roads were closed due to high water.

Chesterfield:

  • Arch Road north between Reams Road and Midlothian Turnpike
  • Spring Run Road between Qualla Road and Goldenbrook Dr.
  • Providence Road south between Nicks Road and Elkhardt Road
  • Starview Lane between Clover Leaf Dr. and Amster Road
  • 360 east/west is clear in both directions
  • Charter Colony Parkway between Genito Road and Millridge
  • Update: All Chesterfield County roads are reopen.

To report trees down, flooded roads or for the latest road closures throughout the state, contact VDOT’s Highway Helpline at 1-800-367-ROAD or log on to VDOT’s Web site at www.VirginiaDOT.org.
